MAY 2011
Even if the covers for the month of April were not up, the month of May came to an end and it was time to decide who would get their ticket for the monthly top 3 of the covers of the month! This time, The Ghost Of Rick James, Z3nest3r and a brand new voter, YourHeroTheEpic, gave in their votes and this time, we got no ties or problems like this. 3 covers recieved 2 votes, while 3 others received one. And once again, The Ghost Of Rick james only gets one choice in the top 3... Anyways, here is the top 3 of the best covers as decided and voted by no actual official staff member of C&BR!
SLASHSLAYER: WHEN WE FALL
Cover by DecyferIt
SPANKY REVOLUTION: WITH THE SPANKYS
Cover by Spanky Revolution with the help of Trace of hatred on side light effects
SPECTRE AND TRACE OF HATRED: THE UNRECOGNIZED TELLING OF AN END
Cover by Spectre
Conclusion
I don't know if it's because of the "rapture" that was supposed to happen this month, but there was a lot of "End of the World" themed covers this month (especially if you count a Beatles comeback like a natural disaster). And I don't know if it's because the rapture inspires Trace Of hatred AKA Suicide by Spoon, but he actually appears on the three albums you see here! The single album from Slash is a collab with Trace, he helped with the light effect on "With the Spankys" where he made a collab with Spanky that appears as a backside and finally, he teams up with Spectre for a whole album of collabs! But don't be sad if your album is not there: there was some seriously great covers this month, all more original than the last one! And don't forget that three of them actually got one vote too!
APRIL 2011
Alright, April has been a really difficult month to choose from. With a lot of staff that gave albums that month - and leater when we learned Trace helped on one of them - everything was kinda unclear. Still, we have been able to pull out something. After a triple tie that had to be settled, we had to choose which cover we would cut and it (sadly) turned out to be my cover for "You Won't Know". Jod.Drummer helped for the initial statement, but wasn't part of the final deliberation, as Trace, Z3nest3r and later DecyferIt helped out.
THE GHOST OF RICK JAMES AND SPECTRE: PUNK RIOTS
Cover by The Ghost Of Rick James
NOCTURNE: Yesteryear
Cover By Nocturne
ROFL MONSTER: PICTURES AND LETTERS
Cover by Rofl Monster and Trace Of Hatred
Conclusion
Well after all, there was once again a lot of great covers in April! We saw the comeback of Nocturne, the talent of Spectre to make "fun" covers and of Rofl Monster to make a nice innocent cover. Once again, all the covers were made from the artists themselves, so noone made a cover for someoen else and got in the top 3.
MARCH 2011
This is now the third month of cover of the month and for the first time, Trace of Hatred didn't vote, since he made two covers (Lucid Simplicity for himself and Cycles for Z3nest3r). We therefore had to find someone to replace... and then I saw Nocturne in the chat. Yes, the same Nocturne that made countless awesome cover arts for himself as well as for other members, and that is also really well-known for his signatures. I myself asked him for his services a couple of time through the years. Now back on the covers, I feel like I'm repeating myself, but this month had some zwizing awesome cover, and I think everyone should be proud of his cover. Seriously. But now, it's time to see the best covers of March, as voted by AgentOhoolahan, The Ghost of Rick James and Nocturne!
SPANKY REVOLUTION: ANTHEM
Cover By Spanky Revolution
SPECTRE: THE ARTIFICE
COVER BY: SPECTRE
TRACE OF HATRED: LUCID SIMPLICITY
COVER BY TRACE OF HATRED
CONCLUSION
If there is something that I came to realize is that all the covers that went in this top 3 since we started making it monthly were all made by the artist himself. There as been some (awesome) cover this month that were request from the artist of the album to another guy, but maybe making your own cover is the best (at least if you have time/talent haha). But hey! The more covers you do, the best you become! But maybe this is just an hazard and that next month, some peopel will make me lie... Anyways, this month once again was really great in terms of covers! I somehow feel like covers are getting better and better since this thing is up here.
FEBRUARY 2011
Alright guys, here are your monthly top 3 of the best covers. Like for last month, I (Spanky) couldn't vote, as I had a cover in competition, so Traceofhatred, The Ghost of Rick James and AgentOhoolahan had to vote for their three favorite covers. Before I start, I must say that I am really proud of every single cover that went out this month. Every cover had their little something that could've led them to the top 3, though I totally agree with the choices of my teammates. So here is the top 3 now revealed to you!
Burger & Spectre: AMALGAMATE
Cover By Spectre
Spanky Revolution: RIOT
Cover By Spanky Revolution
Synthetic Audio: ACOUSTIC TAUGHTS
Cover By Nocturne
Conclusion
Once again, I must say that this month was probably one of the best month, cover-wise, of the history of Cookies & Biscuits Records, and it was really hard to find which cover to pick. I know for a thing that there are a lot of covers in there that didn't made the cut but that would have done it in another month. But in the end, the covers that we got for this top 3 deserve fully their exposure. The return of Nocturne of course was something we were expecting to get in the top of the top of the covers. As of Spectre, he probably caused the biggest surprised with one serious pretendant to the yearly top 10. Now it's time to turn the page and start a new month of amazing covers!
JANUARY 2011
Well here are the three covers of the months as chosen by The Ghost Of Rick James, Agent Ohoolahan and Trace of Hatred! I (Spanky) haven't been taking part of it as I had 2 covers in "competition" and didn't wanted the results to be biaised in any way. So yeah, here are the three best covers of January in alphabetical order as usual and as decided by the cover staff of Cookies & Biscuits Records!
DecyferIt: FREE THE AIRWAVES!
Cover By DecyferIt
J2456h: SERENADES OF MELANCHOLIA
Cover By J2456h
Spanky Revolution: WE WON'T DIE
Cover By Spanky Revolution
(Original cover deleted)
Conclusion
I won't say it had been easy for the judges to choose on their side what were their top 3 covers, but I can say it was wasy once the results were out to choose who would be here. Actually, the albums you see are the only three albums that got in the top 3 of two of the 3 judges. This being said, 4 other covers were voted by one of the judges as one of the best covers of the month.
Now I'm pretty glad to see that the 3 covers we got are from 3 different guys, and that 2 of them never made covers on C&BR before this month. So I can tell that my wish I made back in "The 10 of '10"'s conclusion has been granted haha! But wait before February ends to see what wonderfull covers we will get!

THE 10 OF '10!
