POSITIVE FORCE
So this is my new album. Probably the best of my three WS releases. Hope you all enjoy it. Got some some collabs with Trace and Decyfer that are pretty awesome. It's a pretty solid album, not too technical, not too simple. For fans of my hardcore, punk, and hard rock stuff, this is another album you may like.

WHAT YOU THINK: 9/10 A nice, short, and sweet album from Saiga. It's a deviation from his usual style, being a bit more melodic and almost poppy, it's a nice change. It's got 7 catchy songs that are bound to be stuck in your head for a while! -AgentOhoolahan |

SENOR review
Score is: 7/10
Saiga pops out with his release of the album, Hemingway I! This provides some nice mixes of the genres, hardcore, post rock, heavy metal and progressive rock. The album also features other artists that Saiga has teamed up with, those being, Bongers, Bishop Butters and Raiden. The tracks on this album are quite nicely done. They have the genres mixed in nicely as well. The track “Acid” becomes a good way to start off the album. Then, songs like the short but fast “Rejection Letter” are sure to deliver some cool and speeding sounds to your ears while tracks like “Zing!” provide a pretty short but fine song. His songs can deliver some nice bass riff combos in some parts like in, “80's Teenage Riot Theme Song”. For the other artists who have collaborated with Saiga, they have done a nice job on adding their parts to their songs. Raiden has turned one of Saiga's songs some nice flow. Bongers has fused his style with Saiga into a great blend and Bishop Butters helped the song that he's featured on progress into something pretty pleasant. The concern for this album is that there's little song structure to be found in a couple of the songs which may make the listener be unable to follow the track. Another concern that pulled the album from a higher score is that the parts in a song tend to be a bit bland and lose that taste and it also tends to be a little jumpy in a couple of areas in a song. Overall, the album's not too bad. However, it's not much of a strong overall impression. There are some nice sounding parts here and there but some of the tracks are pulled back with the bland parts. Tip: Be careful not to suddenly shift from one part of a song to another. The listener will end up lost in the song. Also, try not to get the guitars to get loose. They may tend to go a bit random and it also makes the song hard to follow to. |
MECHANICS
Here is the much anticipated third release from Saiga, "Mechanics". It features 11 tracks. 6 from Saiga, 2 from Drac Alucard, and 3 from the users who won the Oh! The Horror Contest Saiga put on. It will be his last release until August. The album comes with the songs, the album art, and as usual, the credits note. Hope you enjoy.

SPECTRE'S ALBUM REVIEW
Mr. Review's Rate: 2/5 stars
For his 3rd release, Saiga has once again decided to team up with Drac Alucard as well as adding 3 other individual artist tracks. Typically when an artist releases their third album we hope to notice a sense of growth or an otherwise refinement of their existing sound. In the case of "Mechanics", Saiga puts forth an honest effort, however, the overall impression left by this compilation is that of an album wich was pieced together from a melting pot of ideas.
One major aspect that hinders the enjoyment of this album is the almost complete lack of structure or flow in the songs. There are indeed some interesting individual verses, but the almagamation of riffs and keys makes the songs very diffcult to follow. Often times what seems to be missing is a solid, steady chord arrangement to back up to the erratic lead guitars. While most of the tracks are relatively short, several of them can include up to 15 different rhythm arrangements wich pop up every second mesure or less.
On a positive note, there is still a somewhat decent entertainement factor with some of the quirkier and daring hooks that can be found on "Mechanics". As far as the the remaining five tracks, Drac Alucard proposes a more orthodox song format, but sadly his formula lacks a little flavor. i9incher and Cyros Lugoth, however, do raise the bar with their irreproachable offerings. Those who enjoy downright progressive music with little repetition might find a better appreciation for this album, but as far as this critic is concerned, "Mechanics" is an album wich only nips at the heels of some of the greater releases seen in this growing community.
SPECTRE'S WORD OF ADVICE: @Saiga, when going wild in the lead guitar departement, try and find a solid anchor riff for the rhythm guitar. Also, be careful with changing chord structures (and keys) several times in a song. It's sometimes difficult for the listener to truly embark in the song when it's constantly jumping from one riff to another.

LAST IN LINE
This is the second release from Saiga. It has a solid 6 tracks featuring 3 other users; Drac Alucard, Downfall-RiD, and Dkoopa. It is obviously shorter than the first album, but the quality of the songs has greatly improved. The album itself is a dedication to the recent loss of Metal Singer, Ronnie James Dio. The album features 6 tracks numbered for your convenience, the album art, and a neat little note full of shocking surprises.

Beauty in ABstraction

It contrasts the Light and the Darkness. Beauty in Abstraction showcases the technical prowess and attention to detail that Saiga has so quickly mastered. The album features the music, the album art, and a little credits note you can check out.

Saiga's biography
Saiga is a well established POM artist. He has 6 POM albums and a bunch of POM2 album under his belt. From these album, we need to note the famous "Hemingway" trilogy, that got its conclusion in February 2011. While that time, Saiga the Machine creates pom2 albums with the same rapidity and effetiveness that BP has to lose money. He also created a label called "Thorn Records" for a couple of months, though he decided to close office.
