AURORA BOREAL
|
"Aurora Boreal" (Aurora Borealis) is the 20 Anos-Luz band second album, and it is a 11 tracks work that one of these is a piano song that close the album.
The genre is more linear than my previous album, I can't tell you a specific one, but we can put it as "Alternative", I think, but the songs has the same essence. "Aurora Boreal" is touching, clear and direct. (And even more if you compare to "Gato Espacial") If you have good ears, you will hear 3 guitars sometimes, and there are no metal songs anymore, it's a Lightness Album. So, enjoy the music! |
GATO ESPACIAL
"Gato Espacial" ("Space Cat" in English) is my debut album, and it is a 14 tracks work that some of these (a little bit) are non-punk-o-matic songs. The genre is not just one for the entire album, but I can assure you it is most Metal, as it starts, but it changes and you can you see some metal, and something that I even don't know what genre it is. Oh well, I recommend you check it out with your own ears. Good luck, you'll need it. (just kidding) And the album doesn't have songs with singing, or something that could be "explicit", the Parental Advisory is only to garnish it. |
You can listen to "Good Stamina", a track of this album, riiiiiight under:
Senor Review
Note: 8/10
Adrian joins the POM music scene with his debut release of 14 tracks called, Gato Especial! The album contains of a mix of music styles and while there are POM tracks to be heard on the album, there are also tracks that are non-POM that are included in the album by this artist.
The album's music is well done and the instruments do a good job. Adrian has a few good ways of implementing nice rhythms into the music and has a nice way of making his songs creative. An example would be, “Lost Song” where his choice of riffs and how he implemented them made the song sound nice. In some songs, the way his songs progressed such as in, “Fury” nicely flowed and added some feeling in the tracks.
While Adrian has some great skill, there are a few flaws that could use some more improving like when he creates riff combinations. While some are good and well done, there were times when those combinations didn't feel right or felt like it was lacking. Another flaw would be the use of transitions is rather repetitive and Adrian tends to use the same one which takes away from some of his music.
Overall, this debut album makes a good start for this artist. While he demonstrates very good composition skills, a few flaws are in the way which takes off a few points from scoring higher. However, if Adrian can fix up the flaws, the artist will be on their way to continue being successful for the next album release!
Tip: Watch out when creating new riff combinations in your music. There were some that felt a bit off and could be better. Improving those combinations can improve the song as well sometimes. Adding to that, you seem to sometimes repeat a riff a couple of times. Try mixing it with another riff and produce a new kind of combo. Also, consider using different transitions rather than overly using the drum roll in songs. Using the same transition can be sometimes boring and using different ones every once in a while is sure to make the song better.

Adrian's Bio
So you must be thinking what the fuck is me. I'm not very active in the official community, but in the Brazilian one on orkut I even manage contests.
I play Punk-O-Matic since 2007, and I won some Brazilian contests (about 32 contestants), and recently get Runner-Up in Nms Monthly Contest. (Just giving you a extra reason to
download an album from an unknown guy)
I love all about rock music, I love any genre of rock song, and therefore pom song, once it's "well-done", and this all reflects to my songs.
